Beyond Good & Evil HD is a High Definition remastered version of the original Beyond Good & Evil released eight years after the original story-driven action-adventure. There is no series for it to be a part of, but the trailer for the prequel was shown at E3 2017.

Gameplay

The player follows a quest of Jade guiding her through the multiple levels which one can explore to their liking, but cannot change the order of the levels to come.
One of the core elements of the game is puzzles the main point of those in search of the required evidence and photographing them.
There are also fights — Jade possesses melee and ranged weapon and can also engage other, AI-controlled characters to aid her in battles either weakening or finishing off the enemies.

Story

The setting is 2344, the planet Hillys which is populated by an anthropomorphic mix of humans and animals. Jade is a freelance photographer whose goal is to capture the investigations within one of the Hillys prefectures. Pey'j is the uncle of Jade who is constantly defending her and aiding her in the battles.

Remaster features

Among the changes made into the HD version one may spot the FullHD resolution, thus the naming, and higher-polygon textures as well as improved sound. There is no any additional content added to the game.
