Superfrog HD is a remastered edition of the original arcade. It is a sidescrolling platformer game.

Plot

It is a story of an unnamed prince, who was transformed into a frog by a witch. Then this witch kidnapped his girlfriend. While sulking in the river, the frog prince found a bottle of Lucozade. This drink gave him extraordinary powers. After that, the frog decided to fight the witch and save his beloved.

Gameplay

In addition to the main aim of the game, which is to rescue a princess, there are some other objectives (to find a golden key, for instance). The player has to complete 24 levels.
These levels are divided into six environments. On every level, you are tasked to get enough coins to have a possibility to exit. You can restore a timer countdown and your health by getting a bottle of Lucozade. The credits award the player at the end of each level. The number of credits depends on the number of coins and fruit, you collected, and on time, you spend on finishing every level. There are two ways to use these credits. You can keep them or gamble in a mini-game to receive bonuses. You have a chance to get a level code, allowing you to start over the game from the next level’s beginning later. In the end, the player should win in a boss fight with the witch. This fight takes place in the castle.
