Since GTA 5 first released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, the GTA 5 system requirements are understandably low. The very best gaming CPUs have come a long way, but an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 and AMD Phenom 9850 from over 10 years ago are still enough to meet the GTA 5 minimum requirements. Similarly, if you're still rocking a 13-year-old NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT or AMD Radeon HD 4870, the gates of Los Santos will be open to you. You'll also need 4GB of RAM, and owing to the GTA 5 game size, 72GB of free storage space. However, Rockstar recommends that you stretch to 8GB of RAM, and we recommend freeing up that 72GB on an SSD for improved loading times.
Stretching to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870 will offer a much smoother and prettier experience. Additionally, an Intel Core i5-3470 and AMD X8 FX-8350 processor are needed to meet the GTA 5 PC recommended specs.
There are plenty of storefronts offering a GTA 5 download, or Grand Theft Auto V if you're feeling formal. You can purchase the game from the Epic Games Store who once gave away the game for free, Rockstar Store, or Steam.
